We make things tell stories.
LivingPlaces® is an integrated solution for tourism born combining my experience and Gerardo Fratianni's. Gerardo is one of the most proficient and prominent field archaeologists in Italy, with more than 20 years of excavations and, most of all, a deep expertise in landscape archaeology and ancient topography. We want to achieve a common dream: provide effective, simple tourist solutions for territories and local communities.
Our multidisciplinary approach includes a deep historical and archaeological preliminary analysis combined with a sociological cognizance of the impact of changes on people, so that any possible solution is intended in favour of communities, achieving a good balance between the goal of an economic growth and the need to prevent degenerative effects on local identity, habits and beliefs.
We operate as a network of professionals operating in different fields; we cover any aspect of a territorial integrated project, from definition of goals to roll-out and communicational and organizational management, in a continuous, evolutive follow-up.

Smart Xperience Park®
When we were children, we all believed things were animated. Probably, they talked to us many times while we were playing.
Well, as the Italian poet Giovanni Pascoli wrote one hundred years ago, there is a child inside each one of us. When we grow adults, however, we tend to hide our inner child beyond rationality, social habits and public morality.
This is also relevant in the field of teaching and education. Let things come alive and talk by themselves is the main goal of this project: a distributed storytelling format.
A Smart Xperience Park is a set of places provided with — basically — different kinds of sensors and outdoor speakers. Interactions happens simply walking: as they go, visitors activate narrations. These can be voices, sounds or soundscapes (in the meant by Pierre Schaeffer) and — if planned in the project — in-app actions, lights, movie projections, automated actuators, etc.
Speakers are designed and placed in a way to minimize their environmental impact (power is ensured thanks to underground cables or solar panels, depending on any single case). Each speaker is autonomous for what files to be reproduced is concerned, and they can be remotely updated via wi-fi or 4G network.
A Smart Xperience Park is a technological representation of a typical fairy tales' or fantasy novel's enchanted forest. But it's also a living scientific park, where visitors have the opportunity to learn many aspects of biology, chemistry, botany, zoology and ecology in an easy way, observing phenomena while they happen. To be more precise, Smart Xperience Parks make visible what else would be invisible: plants growth or chlorophylline photosynthesis, animals' movements, measurement of soil substance values and so on can be dynamically observed through the mobile app, thanks to the sensors placed everywhere.
Visitors, interacting with the environment through the app, can answer tests and quizzes or take required actions for a better understanding of the experience. A gamification system makes the learning process more amazing and engaging.
Moreover, we can provide natural parks with an educational web portal with an access reserved to schools, where students and their teachers can find a lot of contents to delve into the complex universe of Nature.
